About The Position

The Weighmaster is responsible for the daily operations, scheduling, and workflow of the scale house while providing excellent customer service. The role works under the distant supervision of the plant manager and serves as a backup Weighmaster in other areas as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a regular workweek, including weekends; hours may vary according to customer needs and may include first, second, and third shifts.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical, problem-solving, basic mathematical, and organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to perform the stated physical duties, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with aggregate products and dispatching.
Apex and SAP computer skills, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
Bilingual English-Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain computerized records of material amounts and truck identities, and issue weigh certificates in compliance with county and state regulations.
Take orders and dispatch aggregate deliveries.
Issue sand and gravel weight certificates and scrap metal weigh certificates.
Maintain records of current license numbers and tare weights for all trucks.
Interact with County and State Department of Weight and Measure inspectors and coordinate scale repairs as requested.
Coordinate with the plant manager on staffing yard personnel during high-volume days.
Monitor scheduled inspections and complete scale reports.
Verify customer account status.
Assist the credit department by maintaining records that support reconciliation of discrepancies between customers and accounts payable.
Follow CEMEX, MSHA, and OSHA rules and regulations and wear appropriate safety equipment while on plant grounds.
Meet or exceed company safety standards.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
