About The Position
The Weighmaster is responsible for safely and effectively processing commercial traffic from arrival through departure. The role scales trucks in and out, handles paperwork and data entry, organizes receiving documents, and communicates with personnel, suppliers, and trucking companies to help streamline loading and unloading and resolve issues. The Weighmaster also monitors scale cameras and works with receiving department and material handling colleagues, while assisting with general administrative duties.
Requirements
- Safety oriented.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong willingness to learn.
- Willingness to work required shifts and scheduled and non-scheduled overtime.
- Pleasant demeanor and positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
Nice To Haves
- Efficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of the steelmaking process and mill layout.
- Previous scale house experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Scale trucks in and out in a timely manner.

- Print and organize receiving documents.
- Communicate with personnel about truck loading and unloading to help streamline the process.
- Use problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Assist with administrative duties.

- Work daily with other members of the receiving departments and material handling.
- Assist suppliers and trucking companies by communicating issues.
- Scan, email, and photocopy documents as required.
