About The Position

The Weighmaster ensures the scale and radiation system are functioning properly and accurately weighs trucks as they enter and exit the mill. The role verifies load documentation, records information in the SICRAM system, monitors each truck for radiation, and follows the radiation protocol when radiation is present. The Weighmaster also tracks scrap movement in a daily Excel spreadsheet, directs drivers to their locations, scans bills of lading and other load paperwork, communicates with inspectors by mobile radio, and creates bills of lading for outgoing material. If the system is unavailable, the Weighmaster handwrites bills.

Requirements

Experience in maintenance administration or a related administrative field.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Check daily that the scale is functioning properly.
Verify that the system and radiation equipment are operating optimally.
Weigh trucks upon entry and exit.
Verify documentation for each load and enter it accurately into the SICRAM system.
Confirm the absence of radiation for each truck and complete the radiation protocol when radiation is present.
Ensure trucks are positioned correctly on the scale.
Create a daily Excel spreadsheet tracking scrap coming into and leaving the mill.
Give drivers accurate directions to their locations.
Scan bills of lading and all other paperwork for each load.
Communicate with inspectors over a mobile radio.
Create bills of lading for outgoing material.
Handwrite bills when the system is down.
