Weekend Sign Installer - Ashville, OH
About The Position
Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Ashville, Ohio area, in the South Bloomfield community. The contractor installs signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picks up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be completed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the specified deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. The contractor uses Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup, stores signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submits a weekly invoice and orders replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They determine their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete any route they commit to within the required windows. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The work is recurring each weekend and is described as flexible supplemental income. Starting compensation is $136.75 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The posting also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. Additional routes may be offered as more work becomes available.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
- Provide and pay for your own vehicle, mobile device, fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance as an independent contractor.
