Weekend Sign Installer - Westerville, OH
About The Position
Directed is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Courtyards at Haines Creek community in Westerville, Ohio. The contractor installs signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picks up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the stated deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. The contractor uses Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations, stores signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submits a weekly invoice and requests replacement inventory through the company website. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Contractors choose their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete routes they accept within the required windows. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The role is recurring on weekends and is described as flexible supplemental income.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- At least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone), roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Dependability and ability to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Responsibilities
