Weekend Sign Installer - Barberton, OH
About The Position
Directed is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Silver Woods community in Barberton, Ohio. Signs must be installed between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and picked up between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. The contractor may choose when to work within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the respective deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs and stakes, including replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups, store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, submit a weekly invoice, and order replacement inventory through the website. Work recurs each weekend and is performed independently. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They may accept or decline routes but must complete routes they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered.
Requirements
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Responsibilities
- Install signs each weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
- Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
- Use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.
- Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
- Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website after completing pickup.
- Complete any route accepted within the required placement and pickup time windows.
Benefits
- Starting compensation of $98.25 per weekend.
- Pay issued by direct deposit every two weeks.
- $20 signing bonus.
- $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work.
