About The Position

The Weekend Nurse Supervisor is a Registered Nurse role at Community Nursing & Rehab, with days and evenings scheduled in 16-hour shifts. The nurse supports the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents and builds meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories. The position promotes teamwork, collaboration, respectful communication, and coordinated resident care. The nurse is expected to demonstrate American Senior Communities’ C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively and promote teamwork.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being through nursing care.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Conduct thorough resident assessments and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
• Support a respectful and positive work environment.
