About The Position
Puget Sound Hospice of King County is seeking an experienced PRN Weekend Registered Nurse to provide end-of-life care to patients throughout King County, Washington. The nurse provides care in patients’ homes, including assessments, symptom management, medication management, care coordination, and support for patients and families. The role has a PRN weekend schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with autonomy to manage the workday as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current Washington RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Hospice agency experience required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Strong assessment, communication, and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Complete hospice assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide skilled nursing care, medication management, and symptom control.
- Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families on care needs and disease progression.
- Participate in on-call duties and team meetings as needed.
