Weekend Case Coordinator

Center for Alternative•New York, NY

About The Position

CASES is seeking a Case Coordinator for its Harlem Pretrial Services team. The role provides community-based supervision and case management to people enrolled in the Supervised Release Program (SRP), which diverts people facing pretrial detention to community-based supervision and support. Participants have not been found guilty and are not mandated to engage in treatment or other services, so staff use tactful, motivational approaches that build on participants’ strengths while helping them meet court requirements. The Case Coordinator conducts supervision introductions and orientations shortly after release, reviews supervision conditions and reporting requirements, assesses service needs, and develops collaborative service plans. The role connects participants with appropriate treatment and community resources and provides gender-responsive, trauma-informed, culturally competent services that follow risk-need-responsivity principles. The position is hybrid, with three days per week in the office, and is based at 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for 35 hours per week excluding breaks.
