Case Coordinator

State of Indiana•Indianapolis, IN

About The Position

The Case Coordinator works within Indiana’s Worker’s Compensation system to facilitate resolution of disputed claims. The role deals directly with unrepresented (pro-se) parties, identifies issues in cases, and guides pro-se claimants through the process. The goal is to resolve claims before they reach formal hearings; when a hearing is necessary, the coordinator helps prepare the pro-se claimant. The coordinator is typically assigned to particular Hearing Members and court administrators. The role gathers information and communicates with parties when it would be inappropriate for the Hearing Member or court administrator to do so. It also serves as a liaison to the worker’s compensation community and processes and approves electronic filings.
