About The Position

Mittera is seeking Web Second Press Operators to assist with setting up and operating printing presses in coordination with the Press Operator. The role supports press crew members and helps ensure jobs meet customer specifications, internal and external deadlines, and quality standards while reducing waste and press downtime. The position follows departmental regulations and procedures to process customer jobs on time and within specified quality standards. It also contributes to safe operations, teamwork, housekeeping, and routine equipment maintenance.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
Interpret color bars, star targets, side guide marks, and slur indicators to control print quality.
Promote, enforce, and sustain safety, and identify ways to improve operations.
Program correct color standards into CPC to make needed color adjustments.
Achieve color approval by matching prints to proofs.
Facilitate teamwork among crew members and between shifts.
Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
