About The Position

Mittera is seeking experienced Web First Press Operators to operate and maintain web press machines and auxiliary equipment. This leadership role assists in directing press team members’ work to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met. The operator also supports training and development, promotes safe work practices, and helps improve operations. Mittera provides commercial and digital printing, finishing, graphic design, data analytics, direct mail processing, and fulfillment services.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator is preferred.
• Ability to lead and foster growth and development on the team.
• Knowledge of press setup and maintenance procedures.
• Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization.
• Basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and quality- and safety-oriented.
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
• Guide the crew to meet and exceed production standards.
• Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
• Promote, enforce, and sustain safety practices and identify ways to improve operations.
• Assist supervisors by providing feedback for employee evaluations.
• Facilitate teamwork within crews and between shifts.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
