About The Position

Mittera is seeking experienced Web First Press Operators to operate web press machines. This leadership role assists in directing press team members’ work activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met. The role includes operating and maintaining presses and auxiliary equipment, guiding and developing the crew, promoting safe work practices, and supporting effective operations across crews and shifts. Mittera provides commercial and digital printing, finishing, graphic design, data analytics, direct mail processing, and fulfillment services.

Requirements

Three to five or more years of experience as a multicolor web press operator is preferred.
Ability to lead and foster team members’ growth and development.
Knowledge of press setup and maintenance procedures.
Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Basic computer skills.
Self-motivated, reliable, and quality- and safety-oriented.
Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
Guide the crew to meet and exceed production standards.
Train and develop team members on an ongoing basis.
Promote, enforce, and sustain safety practices and identify ways to improve operations.
Assist supervisors by providing feedback for employee evaluations.
Facilitate teamwork within crews and between shifts.
Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
