About The Position

Goodwill Southern California is hiring a WCD Veterans Specialist to support veterans and eligible military family members as they transition to civilian careers and work toward long-term success. The role provides individualized case management and employment counseling, assesses participant needs, develops tailored employment plans, and connects people with training and resources. It also facilitates career-readiness workshops, builds partnerships with employers and community organizations, and maintains accurate records in accordance with program and funder requirements.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. military veteran or an immediate family member (spouse, parent, sibling, or child).
High school diploma or GED.
1–2 years of career counseling or case management experience.
Experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Non-profit and/or veteran-service experience.
Bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized case management and employment counseling to veterans and eligible family members.
Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored employment plans.
Connect participants to training and other resources.
Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and workplace readiness.
Build partnerships with employers, veteran service organizations, and community agencies.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with funder and organizational standards.
