About The Position

SERVPRO of Ft. Lauderdale is hiring a full-time Crew Chief to lead residential and commercial water, fire, mold, and storm restoration projects from start to finish. This hands-on role oversees crews and job sites, performs restoration services, coordinates with project stakeholders, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to SERVPRO standards. The position may require after-hours, weekend, and emergency on-call work, as well as local travel and occasional out-of-state travel when business needs require. The role offers competitive pay of $18.00–$24.00 per hour, training and certification assistance, and opportunities for career advancement. Employees of a SERVPRO franchise are hired and supervised by the independently owned and operated franchise, not by the SERVPRO franchisor.

Requirements

Restoration, mitigation, construction, or demolition experience is preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work after-hours, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts when needed.
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday.
Comfort working around cleaning agents, restoration equipment, and job-site conditions.
Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state when business needs require.
Must successfully pass a background check and meet company driving requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership or crew supervision experience is a plus.
IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, or AMRT are preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead crews on residential and commercial restoration projects.
Manage job sites and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to SERVPRO standards.
Perform water mitigation, fire cleanup, mold remediation, demolition, and other restoration services.
Load, maintain, and organize company vehicles, equipment, and materials.
Prepare work areas and set up equipment for each project.
Communicate with Project Managers, Supervisors, customers, and team members to keep projects on schedule.
Complete job documentation and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
