About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through washing and drying by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production. The role reports to the Production Manager and works as part of a team in an industrial laundry production environment, supporting the flow of work and adapting to different tasks as daily operational needs require.

The position involves physical work throughout the shift, including extended periods of standing and walking, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending. Work areas may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Textiles are supplied by customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role for the entire shift, including extended standing and walking, overhead reaching, pushing and pulling carts or bins, grasping and handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending.
• Ability to work in production areas that may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
• Successful completion of drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
• Monitor washing and drying cycles and enter required data into automated washing systems.
• Maintain efficient textile flow through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support production flow and work as part of a team in a production environment.
• Perform different tasks within the team as required by daily operational needs.
