About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through washing and drying by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production. The role works in an industrial laundry production environment and reports to the Production Manager. The operator helps maintain production flow, works collaboratively with the team, and may perform different tasks based on daily operational needs. The work involves physical activity throughout the shift and potential exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Soiled textiles come from customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the work shift, including extended standing and walking, overhead reaching, pushing and pulling carts or bins, grasping and handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job for the entire shift.
Successful completion of drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
Monitor washing and drying cycles and enter required data into automated washing systems.
Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
Follow safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support production flow because other departments rely on Wash Aisle productivity.
Work as part of a production team and perform different tasks as needed based on daily operational requirements.
