About The Position

Aqua Blue Pools of Charleston is hiring a full-time, year-round Warranty Technician for its construction division. The technician performs pool construction repairs, swimming pool deck repairs, and warranty-related workmanship corrections. The role involves hands-on outdoor work, independent troubleshooting, and communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality repairs and customer service. Repairs must meet building codes, municipality requirements, local and state regulations, and Aqua Blue Pools’ standards, while staying within scope, budget, and timeline. On-call service is accepted as needed. The position includes a stated pay range of $20–$25 per hour, based on experience. A company truck may be used daily during work hours if authorized. The work takes place outdoors in varying conditions and involves physical tasks associated with construction and service work.

Requirements

Clean driving record.
Three years of experience in a similar position or comparable industry experience.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods.
Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting, repetitive motion, prolonged standing, walking, and bending, and to safely perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communication by phone, in writing, and in person.
Accurate and precise attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform pool construction, swimming pool deck, and warranty-related repairs to required quality standards.
Use construction knowledge and processes to ensure repairs comply with building codes, municipality requirements, and company standards.
Complete repairs within budget and on time while minimizing waste and working within the scope of work.
Communicate repair timelines, expectations, progress, adjustments, and completion to clients and internal teams.
Work professionally with subcontractors and other parties involved in repairs.
Review construction details and previous repairs to identify areas for improvement.
Provide internal reports and inventory projections.
Ensure legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Interpret and explain technical information, and respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
Ensure equipment and materials are in working order and that work processes start and finish efficiently.
Accept on-call service as needed.
Conduct site inspections as needed and read and understand construction documents and plans.
Maintain constructive relationships and professional feedback among team members and departments, and help develop team members’ technical skills and knowledge.
