About The Position
The Warehouser/Material Handler moves products such as Lay’s, Doritos, and Cheetos through the warehouse accurately and carefully so stores receive the correct products. The role is based in West Valley City, Utah, pays $27.11 per hour, and follows A-shift hours: Sunday through Wednesday, starting at 6:00 AM. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday shifts end at 6:00 PM; Wednesday ends at 12:00 PM. The position includes hands-on and classroom training. It is a fast-paced, hands-on job requiring the employee to be on the go for most of the day, lifting, bending, and moving products throughout the shift. Work may involve weekends, holidays, off shifts, heights, extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the plant.
- Must be willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers.
- Pick the appropriate cases according to orders using required technology.
- Safely operate a forklift after receiving training and obtaining certification.
- Load trailers using carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
- Maintain general housekeeping and perform specific sanitation tasks as required.
