About The Position

The Warehouser/Material Handler moves food products such as Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos through the warehouse accurately and carefully so stores receive the products they need. The role involves loading and unloading pallets and individual cases, selecting cases for orders with required technology, and loading trailers using carts or by stacking cases on the trailer floor. The employee will receive training to safely operate a forklift and must obtain certification. General housekeeping and assigned sanitation tasks are also part of the role.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that keeps the employee moving for most of the shift and involves lifting, bending, and moving products. On-the-job training includes hands-on and classroom instruction. The schedule is Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., in San Antonio, Texas. The role requires weekend and holiday work, off-shift hours, and work in conditions that may include extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Work weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours.
• Be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access plant areas.
• Be willing and able to work around extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers.
• Pick the appropriate cases according to orders using required technology.
• Safely operate a forklift after completing provided training and obtaining certification.
• Load trailers using carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
• Maintain general housekeeping and complete specific sanitation tasks as required.
