About The Position

The Warehouser/Material Handler moves PepsiCo food products through the warehouse, handling orders accurately so stores receive the correct products. The position involves loading and unloading pallets and cases, selecting products for orders, and loading trailers. Forklift operation is performed after training and certification. The work is active and fast-paced, with lifting, bending, and moving products throughout the shift. Hands-on and classroom training are provided.

The position is based in Southgate, Michigan. Work is scheduled Sunday through Friday for an average of three days. Start times are 11:30 a.m. Sunday, 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 1:00 p.m. Friday; Saturday is off. End times are 7:30 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 p.m. Friday; Saturday is off. Weekend, holiday, and off-shift work is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access plant areas.
• Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures, humidity, and around hazardous or loud equipment and slippery surfaces.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers.
• Pick appropriate cases according to orders using required technology.
• Safely operate a forklift after completing provided training and obtaining certification.
• Load trailers using carts or by stacking cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
• Maintain general housekeeping and complete required sanitation tasks.
