About The Position
The Warehouseman receives and distributes inbound and outbound tires and other items within the warehouse. The role provides customer service, prepares and processes orders, receives freight, loads trucks, and uses computer software to locate tires and manage inventory transfers. The Warehouseman also assists with inventory issues and store or customer requests, maintains an orderly and safe warehouse, and operates a forklift and other equipment as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
- Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service while being sensitive to their needs.
- Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and placing orders in the delivery area.
- Receive inbound freight, unload freight from trucks, and check off orders in a timely manner.
- Read work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed, and load trucks.
- Use computer software to locate tire types by manufacturer, transfer inventory to stores, close out transfer requests, and bill the appropriate location.
- Assist with slow-moving and obsolete inventory items.
- Assist with requests from store personnel or outside customers, researching problems when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and orderly warehouse, store inventory in its proper place, and help maintain overstock areas.
- Operate a forklift daily and other equipment as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
