About The Position

The Warehouseman receives and distributes inbound and outbound tires and other items within the warehouse. The role provides customer service, prepares orders, receives and checks freight, loads trucks, and uses computer software to locate tires and manage inventory transfers. It also helps maintain inventory and a safe, tidy, and orderly warehouse environment. The position operates forklifts and other equipment as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule. The position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of up to and over 50 pounds.
• Frequent stopping, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterity.
• Constant visual, auditory, and verbal communication.
• Must be able to perform the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service while being sensitive to their needs.
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and placing orders in the delivery area.
• Receive inbound freight, unload it from trucks, and check off orders in a timely manner.
• Read work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Load trucks.
• Use computer software to locate tires by manufacturer, transfer inventory to stores, close out transfer requests, and bill the appropriate location.
• Assist with slow-moving and obsolete inventory items.
• Respond to requests from store personnel or outside customers and research problems when necessary.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and orderly warehouse, with inventory stored in its proper place.
• Help maintain over-stocked areas.
• Operate a forklift daily and other equipment as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
