Warehouseman
About The Position
The Warehouseman is responsible for warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, handling, loading and unloading cargo trucks, and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse. The position works in a manufacturing environment and has no supervisory responsibilities. It is full-time; workdays and hours depend on the shift, and weekends and overtime may be required as duties demand. The role requires little to no travel. Duties and responsibilities may change, and reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Certificate preferred.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Forklift operator certification is required.
- Attention to detail.
- Prioritization skills.
- Self-motivation.
- Effective communication.
- Teamwork.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull with entire-body weight up to 300 pounds.
- Able to climb up and down steps frequently.
- Required vision includes color, close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities
- Identify and transport requested materials between machines, docks, storage areas, and other locations.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Prepare orders for shipment.
- Use a forklift to pull yarn for other TenCate facilities.
- Store yarn in the warehouse.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Place tags on products received into the plant.
- Serve as backup for the Waste Coordinator during PTO and emergency absences.
- Report problems with materials or transportation to the manager.
- Follow safety rules to protect oneself and others.
- Perform other tasks requested by the manager.
