About The Position

The Warehouseman is responsible for warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, loading and unloading cargo trucks, and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse. The position works in a manufacturing environment and has no supervisory responsibilities. It requires little to no travel. Weekend work and overtime may be required as job duties demand, and workdays and hours are determined by shift.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and transport requested materials to and from machines, docks, storage areas, and other locations.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Prepare orders for shipment.
• Use a forklift to pull yarn for other TenCate facilities.
• Store yarn in the warehouse.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Place tags on products received into the plant.
• Provide backup for the Waste Coordinator during PTO days and emergency absences.
• Report problems with materials or transportation to the manager.
• Follow safety rules to protect yourself and others.
• Perform other tasks requested by the manager.
