About The Position

Daimler Truck North America is hiring a warehouse employee for its Grand Prairie, Texas location. The role is in the Shipping department and involves physically demanding warehouse work, including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, machinery operation, and adherence to standardized work procedures. The employee will pick, prepare, and package materials for shipment, operate voice-directed picking equipment and powered industrial vehicles, and contribute to safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Power industrial vehicle experience, such as forklift, reach truck, or order picker experience.
Previous warehouse experience.
Ability to perform repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and supporting tools.
Ability to stand on concrete for the entire shift and repeatedly bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work overtime when needed.
Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application.
Successful completion of a criminal background check; a pre-employment drug screen may also be required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, especially automotive or trucking.
High school diploma or GED; further college education is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform physically demanding warehouse duties involving repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, machinery, and standardized work procedures.
Participate in improving safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput.
Pick, prepare, and package the required quantities of material for shipment.
Operate voice-directed picking equipment.
Operate powered vehicles such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers at heights up to 24 feet.
Safely operate or work near warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, pick trucks, propane-powered lifts, battery-changing equipment, electric carousels, conveyor lines, pneumatic staple guns, compactors, and dock levelers.
Communicate effectively with people within and outside the work group.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Maintain a clean work area, meet quality standards, and implement continuous improvement measures.
Cross-train on other jobs as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
