Warehouse Worker (Part Time- Flex, Days)

About The Position

Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks related to receiving, storing, and shipping products. Warehouse team members receive and fulfill orders so customers have the products they need to care for patients. This part-time flex role supports high-volume days, planned PTO coverage, and high call-off periods. Schedules vary by location and week, with one mandatory Tuesday shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or until work is finished. Additional shifts are optional and selected from those available. Weekly hours depend on availability and business needs and will not exceed an average of 29 hours on an ongoing basis. Once accepted, shifts must be worked in full and may extend beyond the estimated end time until operational work is complete. A 1–3 day onboarding ramp may be required during the first week or pay period; its schedule will be agreed during the job offer process. The pay rate is $20.61 per hour. The role is not bonus eligible. Paid time off is provided in compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
Basic proficiency in English, including reading and writing to process documents.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems is a plus.
Warehouse experience is not required; training is provided starting the first day.

Responsibilities

Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality-control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Train for and obtain certification to drive material-handling equipment as required by job duties.
Work accepted shifts in full and meet standard attendance expectations.
