About The Position

Ryder is hiring for a warehouse transportation coordination role in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The position supports supply-chain operations in a clean, organized facility handling retail items. The coordinator maintains vehicle arrival and departure records, checks vehicle seals, communicates with management, assists drivers and visitors, follows freight check-in and check-out procedures, and monitors CCTV equipment. Depending on the location, the employee may also need to operate equipment and become equipment certified.

The role pays $18.50 per hour, with weekly pay, and follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ryder describes its culture as team-oriented and safety-focused, with paid training and opportunities to develop in the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in freight coordination, scheduling, or planning.
• Excellent time-management skills and strong organization.
• High proficiency in Microsoft programs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive attitude that sets an example for others.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Welcome Center attendant log of commercial and private vehicle arrivals and departures.
• Check inbound and outbound vehicle seals.
• Communicate Welcome Center issues to management.
• Interact with drivers and visitors politely and professionally.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for freight check-in and check-out.
• Monitor CCTV equipment and advise management of occurrences.
• Depending on location, operate equipment and obtain equipment certification if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
