About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Transportation Coordinator in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The role supports warehouse transportation operations, including vehicle arrival and departure logging, checking vehicle seals, communicating with management, interacting with drivers and visitors, following freight check-in and check-out procedures, and monitoring CCTV. Depending on location, the employee may need to operate equipment and become equipment certified. The facility handles retail items and provides a clean, organized work environment focused on safety.

The position pays $21.00 per hour, with weekly pay. The schedule is a day shift Sunday through Tuesday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Ryder advertises paid training and support, benefits beginning at 30 days, PTO accrual starting in the first month, and employee discounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in freight coordination, scheduling, or planning.
• Excellent time-management skills and strong organization.
• High proficiency in Microsoft programs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive attitude that sets an example for others.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Welcome Center attendant log of arrivals and departures of commercial and private vehicles.
• Check all inbound and outbound seals on vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with management about Welcome Center issues.
• Interact with drivers and visitors in a polite, professional manner.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures regarding checking freight in and out.
• Monitor CCTV equipment and advise management of any occurrences.
• Depending on location, operate equipment and obtain equipment certification if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
