About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Transportation Coordinator in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The role supports warehouse transportation operations, including monitoring vehicle arrivals and departures, checking vehicle seals, communicating with management, and interacting professionally with drivers and visitors. The position is based in a clean, organized warehouse facility handling retail items. Depending on the location, the employee may also need to operate equipment and obtain equipment certification.

The schedule is a day shift from Sunday through Tuesday, 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday, 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pay is $21.00 per hour and is issued weekly. Ryder describes a team-first culture focused on safety, respect, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in freight coordination, scheduling, or planning.
• Excellent time-management skills and strong organizational ability.
• High proficiency in Microsoft programs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive attitude that sets an example for others.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Welcome Center attendant log of arrivals and departures of commercial and private vehicles.
• Check all inbound and outbound vehicle seals.
• Communicate welcome center issues effectively to management.
• Interact with drivers and visitors in a polite, professional manner.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for checking freight in and out.
• Monitor Closed Caption Television (CCTV) equipment and advise management of any occurrences.
• Depending on location, operate equipment and obtain equipment certification if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
