About The Position

The Warehouse Training Coordinator leads and administers the Greenville Warehouse training systems and maintains related databases. The role provides the systems and tools needed to maximize the Warehouse training program and Moving Equipment training at the site. Working with warehouse leaders, team members, safety personnel, and external resources, the coordinator assesses skills and training needs, develops training plans and materials, and supports continuous improvement in employee capability, safety, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Internal candidates must be qualified to a minimum of L-2 or FCH2 Level.
Minimum of five years of experience in a warehousing environment, with demonstrated ability to implement and improve training systems.
Ability to use computer software applications such as Windows, Oracle, and other databases.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills.
Ability to lead others’ work and train employees.
Ability to understand and provide detailed instructions.
Good organizational and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and enforce safety procedures and policies, and maintain good housekeeping standards among team members.
Interact constructively with area managers and team members, and support company policies, procedures, and work practices.
Manage and develop the technical training program, evaluate skill gaps and training opportunities, and create plans to address them.
Assess technical skills across departments with area managers and supervisors, coordinating internal or external training support as needed.
Develop problem-solving training and provide warehouse operations support based on ongoing needs assessments with warehouse leadership.
Use assessment tools and data to measure workforce capability and maintain a training skills and health database showing skills acquired and still needed.
Provide technical training and leadership development support in collaboration with subject-matter experts, external organizations, suppliers, and governmental agencies.
Improve new-employee orientation and classroom training so employees can acquire basic skills before being released to the Warehouse.
Partner with the safety department to improve the Warehouse safety environment and help develop safe work instructions covering hazards, equipment safety features, and startup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
Ensure development and accountability of training department team members.
Develop visible metrics to measure training department effectiveness.
Train and certify personnel in safe operation of all equipment, including powered fork equipment.
Implement and enforce OSHA and warehouse rules and regulations related to Powered Industrial Equipment.
Maintain Warehouse ETQ documents and document standard work instructions.
