About The Position

The Warehouse Team Member Forklift loads and unloads products, verifies incoming and outgoing inventory, and moves and organizes stock in the warehouse to support order processing and deliveries. The role includes loading trucks according to drivers’ load sheets, checking orders for additional products, handling returns and breakage, inspecting expiration dates, and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse. Some duties in the posting are identified as applying to day-shift assignments or particular warehouse assignments. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until the end of production and pays $18.50 per hour. Work takes place in a warehouse, with exposure to extreme temperatures, moving machinery, dust, and some noise, high places, electrical shock, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions. The role requires physical activity including bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, handling cases weighing up to 49 pounds, and moving kegs averaging 165 pounds.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain forklift certification.

Able to maintain order and cleanliness of trucks and warehouses and organize tasks and time effectively.

Knowledge of products, product codes, delivery routes, and proper lifting procedures.
Able to regularly reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb around the warehouse while loading or unloading beer.
Able to regularly unload cases of beer averaging 40 pounds and weighing up to 49 pounds.
Able to maneuver a two-wheel dolly effectively and safely operate a forklift or long-fork pallet jack.
Must be able to lift or move kegs averaging 165 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse experience desired.

Responsibilities

Unload incoming products using a forklift or by hand when required for applicable day-shift assignments.
Verify inventory of incoming products and stack pallets in designated warehouse areas.
Move keg stock into the cooler using a forklift.
Rotate stock and check pull dates when assigned to applicable day-shift duties.
Load dunnage for return to the brewery when assigned to applicable day-shift duties.
Count and verify outgoing keg or case loads against load sheets.
Load trucks according to drivers’ load sheets and check load sheets and orders for additional products that need to be added.
Load additional products onto route trucks for delivery to accounts.
Unload returns from trucks.
Document temperatures of kegs received from MillerCoors breweries when assigned to the keg warehouse and applicable day-shift duties.
Send bad kegs back to the brewery when assigned to the keg warehouse and applicable day-shift duties.
Inspect expiration dates on kegs and cases and report stock nearing expiration to management.
Clean the cooler or consolidate stock in the case warehouse to make room for incoming product when assigned to applicable day-shift duties.
Complete dunnage reports when assigned to applicable day-shift duties.
Conduct breakage inventory and count breakage by truck and account when assigned to applicable day-shift duties.
Assist with repacking breakage and return repacked beer to the production line.
Follow safety codes and OSHA standards and help keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
Work overtime when required and fill in for personnel on other shifts when required.
Assemble product for outside distributors and J.J. Taylor accounts.
Perform other duties and special tasks assigned by the Director of Operations or Department Supervisor.
