Forklift Team Member
About The Position
The Forklift Team Member handles freight and products during receiving, shipping, production, or processing. The role uses forklifts and/or cranes to load and unload, checks products and quantities, maintains related paperwork and production data, and helps keep the work area safe and orderly. The team member follows approved procedures, participates in team meetings and training, and may perform other assigned duties. Responsibilities
- Unpack and repack items, and place items as needed.
- Use tools and visual aids to confirm quantities of freight being received and shipped.
- Operate a forklift and/or crane for loading and unloading.
- Operate other machines used for production or processing, such as a scan gun.
- Inspect products before shipping.
- Clean the work area according to 5S standards.
- Enter production data into basic spreadsheet systems.
- Follow approved procedures and precautions.
- Assist in providing a safe environment for all employees.
- Maintain paperwork for incoming and outgoing products.
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
