About The Position

The Warehouse Support role is a developmental position intended to expand the abilities of trusted team members and prepare them for future leadership opportunities. The person in this role is often employees’ first source for answers and should support their training, knowledge, and production goals while fostering mutual respect and leadership. The role supports team leads with department workflow and production goals, helps motivate and guide team members, and identifies issues that could disrupt production. It also involves inspecting materials and component parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

Requirements

Strong communication skills.
Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties.
Ability to read, speak, and/or comprehend English.
Business knowledge of department production goals and safety and quality standards.
Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the business as needed.
Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, teach, and motivate others on standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Differentiate among types of material and inspect component parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Support team leads in maintaining proper workflow through each department.
Assist team leads as needed.
Help achieve daily department production goals while focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Motivate and encourage team members to achieve hourly, daily, and weekly goals.
Help team leads develop and implement daily quotas and production goals.
Understand team members’ training levels and skills and move personnel cross-functionally based on department needs.
Understand the department’s entire process and correct potential setbacks.
Identify problems before they reach the team lead and minimize their impact on production.
Lead, teach, and motivate others on standards, policies, and procedures to achieve goals.
