About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse employees to meet business objectives for assigned departments, including safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. The role supports employees, manages daily operations and workloads, promotes process improvement, and helps ensure compliance with contractual requirements and shop rules.

Requirements

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of the basic technology of the assigned area.
Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems.
Relatively high analytical ability to address complex problems.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output.
Knowledge of quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

Counsel and support hourly employees with needs and concerns as required.
Address employee performance behaviors by recognizing positive behaviors and discouraging negative ones.
Use the Quality Network problem-solving process to address opportunities and engage the workforce in generating ideas.
Apply the Workplace Organization (WPO) process to improve layouts and efficiency.
Update the Timekeeping System (TKS) daily to ensure accurate payroll data processing.
Use the A-3 reporting format to document problem-solving activities and follow local A-3 guidelines.
Conduct daily meetings to communicate business performance and hold two-way discussions with employees.
Conduct and document weekly safety observation tours of departments.
Plan daily workloads in advance.
Support colleagues in optimizing shift performance.
Observe national and local contractual requirements.
Enforce shop rules.
Perform daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit checks.
Advance skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee apprised of pending activities.
