About The Position

Paxon is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for its Batavia location. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role oversees all shift warehouse activities to ensure efficient processes and maximize productivity. The supervisor manages staffing and daily work schedules, coordinates order fulfillment and shipping needs, maintains safe and clean working conditions, and supports the accurate handling and storage of inventory. The role also manages the Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Account Leads and trains, evaluates, motivates, and coaches warehouse associates. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Three to five years of related experience in warehousing, receiving, or inventory control; ideally in a multi-client warehousing environment.
• Knowledge of warehousing practices and procedures, including receiving and shipping methods, supervision, and accountability.
• Knowledge of leadership and work management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of warehouse-related SOPs, individual account work instructions, and warehouse processes and procedures.
• Skills in safety and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, demanding warehouse environment.
• Ability to train and develop hourly associates.
• Ability to learn the AMWARE proprietary WMS.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with SOPs, individual account work instructions, and other warehouse processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help determine space requirements and ensure inventory is accurately put away, relocated, and stored.
• Manage fulfillment associates’ daily work schedules to support smooth, productive operations.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Plan and coordinate staffing to meet daily order fulfillment and shipping needs.
• Train employees in safe equipment operation and the maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Motivate, evaluate, and coach warehouse staff.
• Manage the Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Account Leads.
• Recommend programs to the Operations Manager to improve warehouse operations.
• Interview and recommend associate applicants for hire.
• Manage the facility’s 5S practices.
• Train and develop hourly associates.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, individual account work instructions, and other warehouse processes and procedures.
