About The Position

LKQ Corporation is hiring a Warehouse Shipping/Receiving employee to handle warehouse shipping and/or receiving duties. The role includes processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock. The employee may operate manual or powered equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with starting pay of $21.00 per hour. The role does not supervise employees and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Up to 1 year of work-related experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate basic messages orally and write brief messages or keep simple records.
Ability to follow standard procedures and clear directions, using supervisor or manager guidance and assigned priorities.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform the stated physical activities and work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles when required.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment and work around hazardous situations, conditions, or equipment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in a warehouse or similar work environment.
Prior PIT experience, such as operating a forklift or order picker.

Responsibilities

Receive inbound product and put it away in designated locations.
Pick or pull the correct product from appropriate locations and deliver it to the staging area or delivery truck.
Operate manual or powered equipment to transport product throughout the warehouse.
Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence.
Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in assigned work areas.
Comply with established company policies and procedures.
Assume other duties as assigned.
