Warehouse Person, Non-Refrigerated - Lakeland
About The Position
The Warehouse Person maintains the building’s appearance in accordance with Distribution’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and helps ensure product is accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores. The associate works with multiple groups to clean industrial equipment, tractor trailers, and facility floors. They sort recycling materials and help reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases, sorting product, repackaging it, and properly labeling cases. Tasks follow a Master Sanitation Schedule, and completed work is documented. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
- Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the start date in the position.
- Be able to use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment that require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be able to lift, carry, and stack product weighing 67 pounds for High Velocity, Low Velocity, and Return Center.
- Be able to stand, bend, stoop, and twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods.
- Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
- Work under strict time requirements.
- Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
- Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the building’s appearance according to Distribution’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
- Help ensure product is accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores.

- Help reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases, sorting product, repackaging it, and properly labeling cases.
- Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and document completed tasks.
Benefits
- Holiday bonus in November: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years, subject to remaining employed through the bonus check issue date.
- Night differential of $0.75 per hour for associates regularly scheduled to work qualifying hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m.
- Weekend differential of $2.00 per hour for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
