Warehouse Forklift Operator, Non-Refrigerated - Lakeland
About The Position
Warehouse Forklift Operators maneuver powered industrial equipment to move cases and pallets and place them in assigned warehouse slots. They move products from receiving docks to reserve locations and replenish pick locations as Warehouse Selectors empty them, pulling products from reserve locations. Operators rotate inventory using the most dated inventory first, help maintain a clean warehouse, and sweep out empty slots. They may occasionally fill in for Warehouse Selectors or other positions as business needs require. Responsibilities are not all-inclusive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work nights.
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
- Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the start date in the position.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds.
- Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to bend, stoop, and twist.
- Be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
- Be able to stack products of varying weights.
- Be able to work under strict time requirements.
- Be able to read, write, identify, and verify numbers.
- Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial equipment to move cases and pallets and place them in assigned warehouse slots.
- Move product from receiving docks to reserve locations.
- Replenish pick locations by pulling product from reserve locations as locations are emptied by Warehouse Selectors.
- Rotate inventory using the most dated inventory first.
- Help maintain a clean warehouse and sweep out empty slots.
- Occasionally fill in for Warehouse Selectors and other positions as business needs demand.

- Starting pay is $1.00 to $2.00 above the pay range minimum depending on experience or applicable skill level.
- A $0.75 per hour night differential for associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m., excluding shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.
- A $2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
