Warehouse Package Handler
About The Position
OnTrac is hiring a Package Handler to support warehouse operations in Salinas, California. Package Handlers contribute to the smooth functioning of the warehouse, with a focus on quality and adherence to safety protocols to help maintain a productive and secure work environment. The position involves unloading trailers, sorting packages by ZIP code, and loading delivery trucks. Employees work as part of a team and are expected to follow site safety practices. Hours may vary based on business needs. “End of Sort” means completion of all required sorting work for the day and cleanup activities as directed by site management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to remain on your feet while working.
- Ability to work in warehouse heat and cold as seasonal temperatures vary.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety practices and help maintain a safe work environment.
- Unload trailers.
- Sort packages by ZIP code.
- Load trucks for deliveries.
- Work cooperatively as part of the team.
- Complete required sort work and cleanup activities as directed by site management.
