About The Position

Boise Cascade is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee warehouse functions and support the operations manager. The role is responsible for receiving products from external and internal suppliers, pulling and loading products for shipment, and training, guiding, coaching, and counseling materials-handling associates. The supervisor oversees day-to-day safety awareness and enforcement of Division Safety and PPE policy, ensures operations follow established standard operating procedures, and troubleshoots daily yard activities. The position works 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, in warehouse and yard operations involving some physical exertion and duties under seasonal environmental conditions.

Requirements

Two-year technical education or college degree, or a high school diploma and at least three years of operations experience.
Prior supervisory experience.
Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computer software applications necessary to perform job responsibilities.
Ability to perform warehouse and yard operations involving some physical exertion and duties under seasonal environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-site supervisor and assistant to the operations manager for the yard, warehouse, and safety.
Oversee receipt of products from external and internal suppliers.

Promote day-to-day safety awareness and enforce Division Safety and PPE policy.
Ensure operations are consistent with established standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoot daily activities within the yard.
