About The Position

Boise Cascade Company is hiring a Material Handler EWP for its Building Materials Distribution Warehouse. The role supports daily distribution yard activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping or building loads. The position is part of Carpenter's Union #2761. Scheduled hours are 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Benefits are defined by the local union and include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.

Nice To Haves

• General warehouse experience, including forklift operation, and/or knowledge of a warehouse work environment.
• Knowledge of building material products.
• Chainsaw experience.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming material against invoices and unload it.
• Warehouse incoming material, storing or stacking it properly.
• Retrieve material from the yard or warehouse according to sales orders and build loads for delivery.
• Operate a chainsaw to cut lumber and load delivery trucks.
• Operate a forklift and, as required, machinery to cut material to customer specifications.
• Check loads against orders before vehicles leave the yard.
• Maintain the warehouse and yard according to housekeeping and safety guidelines.
