About The Position

Boise Cascade Company is hiring a Material Handler EWP for its Building Materials Distribution Warehouse. This position performs daily distribution yard activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials and building loads. The role is part of Carpenter's Union #2761. The schedule is 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Benefits are defined by the local union and include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.

Nice To Haves

• General warehouse experience, including forklift operation, and/or knowledge of a warehouse work environment.
• Knowledge of building materials.
• Chainsaw experience.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming material against invoices, unload it, and store or stack it properly.
• Retrieve materials according to sales orders and build loads for delivery.
• Operate a chainsaw to cut lumber and load delivery trucks.
• Operate a forklift and, as required, machinery to cut material to customer specifications.
• Check loads against orders before vehicles leave the yard.
• Maintain the warehouse and yard in accordance with housekeeping and safety guidelines.
