About The Position

Rubber & Accessories, an industrial distribution company specializing in conveyor belt, industrial hose, and gasket products, is seeking an industrious manager to join its management team. The Warehouse Operations Manager leads and works alongside warehouse personnel and participates in and leads meetings with management. The manager provides workforce leadership and development to support the quality and on-time delivery of hose and belt products in a safe, customer-service-driven, teamwork environment. The manager is responsible for the productivity and quality of warehouse operations, including staffing, safe and effective daily operations, order shipping, local deliveries, equipment and vehicle maintenance schedules, and employee training. The role may also involve hands-on warehouse work, helping walk-in customers, and coordinating with sales staff, department supervisors, and management.

Requirements

Management experience in an industrial environment.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to read a tape measure and work with hand tools.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Ability to lift 50 pounds intermittently.
Must work in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

Coordinate communication and support with inside and outside sales staff to use warehouse personnel and equipment effectively and exceed customer satisfaction.
Ensure appropriate warehouse staffing, safe and proper operations, scheduled order shipments, and suitable daily opening and closing times.
Ensure the team follows safety rules and production guidelines.
Develop a culture of ethics, service, and reliability while maintaining the established customer-service focus.
Organize daily local delivery routes.
Coordinate staffing and equipment needs with management and identify growth opportunities.
Set warehouse staff priorities and ensure resources and supplies are available to meet company objectives.
Work with hose and belt department supervisors to meet each department’s needs.
Manage maintenance schedules for vehicles and equipment.
Provide training and assistance to warehouse employees.
Perform hands-on tasks as needed, including pulling and packing orders, fabricating belt and hose assemblies, forklift driving, and related warehouse work.
Assist walk-in customers when needed.
