About The Position

The Warehouse/Internal Logistics Operator is responsible for receiving, order filling, and shipping activities, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping to meet daily goals and objectives. The role includes handling vendor and plant stock, organizing bulk and pick locations, resolving stock issues with Inventory Control, and preparing product for shipment. The operator may drive power industrial equipment when needed and must meet department quality and productivity standards. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills and understanding of overall distribution operations.
Ability to read and comprehend information and count inventory accurately.
Ability to work in three-level modules and be comfortable with heights.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and climb stairs throughout the shift.
Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.
Able and certified to drive power industrial equipment as needed.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

Receive and verify vendor documentation, SKU numbers, quantities, and overall product quality.
Receive and stock products from vendors and plants into bulk locations.
Consolidate products with the same SKU numbers in bulk locations.
Pull bulk product and place it in pick zones.
Consult with Inventory Control to resolve stock issues.
Retrieve specified products from pick locations for shipment.
Transfer cartons from shipping lanes and stack them onto pallets for loading.
Meet and maintain department quality and productivity standards.
Drive power industrial equipment as needed, with required ability and certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.
