About The Position

As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company with a global supply chain network that distributes grocery and household goods to locations in all 50 states. The Warehouse Forklift (Reach Truck) Operator operates a forklift to move, load, unload, relocate, and stack merchandise. The role also involves pulling and staging delivery orders, unloading inbound shipments, loading outbound shipments, and moving products to dispersing trailers. The operator is responsible for safe and efficient vehicle operation and for keeping facility equipment neat, clean, and orderly.

The position is located at 8024 Telegraph Rd, Severn, Maryland 21144. Starting pay is $22.50 per hour. The schedule starts at 9 a.m. and continues until finished. Associates must be able to work assigned weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary, and to work assigned shifts of 8–10 hours. The work takes place in a warehouse, where employees may encounter changing temperature and humidity depending on assignment and moderate-to-high noise levels. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic technical skills.
• Ability to take direction and work under close supervision.
• Ability to follow clearly defined standard operating procedures.
• Ability to communicate with team members.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and assigned.
• Ability to work assigned shifts of 8–10 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Ability to meet the described physical demands, including frequent sitting, walking, standing, handling and grasping objects or controls, repetitive use of foot controls, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.

Responsibilities
