About The Position

As a Receiving PIT Operator, you are responsible for moving and storing materials within the distribution center using a reach truck, sit-down forklift, and pacer. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Assistant Department Manager or Department Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of PIT experience operating a sit-down forklift, reach truck, and pacer in a warehouse environment.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse organization procedures.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise.
• Flexible schedule, including ability to work weekends as needed.
• Previous experience using a warehouse scan gun.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading orders and completing accurate documentation.
• Ability to adhere to safety requirements and maintain a safety-first mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat most of the time; perform repetitive pushing and pulling with hands most of the time; frequently carry up to 25 pounds; and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Lift, stack, pull, and replenish products from shelves at varying heights and weights throughout the shift.
• Safely transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center, maneuvering equipment through narrow aisles and around obstacles and placing materials according to the storage plan or designated locations.
• Follow safety protocols, including established speed limits, load capacities, and pedestrian-traffic rules; wear required personal protective equipment and conduct before- and after-operation equipment inspections as required.
• Notify management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures.
• Collaborate with management and warehouse team members to maintain inventory levels and fulfill orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris and clutter, and disposing of packaging materials properly.
• Occasionally assist with other warehouse tasks, including picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
