About The Position

The Warehouse/Internal Logistics Operator is responsible for receiving, order filling, and shipping, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping to meet daily goals. Duties include verifying inbound documentation, SKU numbers, quantities, and product quality; stocking and consolidating inventory in bulk locations; moving bulk product to pick zones; coordinating with Inventory Control to resolve stock issues; retrieving specified product from pick locations for shipment; and transferring cartons from shipping lanes onto pallets for loading. The operator must meet department quality and productivity standards and be able to operate certified power industrial equipment as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in three-level modules and not be afraid of heights.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and climb stairs throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to work overtime with little or no notice.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of overall distribution operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend information and count inventory accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify vendor documentation, SKU numbers, quantities, and overall product quality.
• Stock vendor and plant products in bulk locations and consolidate products with the same SKU numbers.
• Pull bulk product and place it in pick zones.
• Consult with Inventory Control to resolve stock issues.
• Retrieve specified products from pick locations for shipment.
• Transfer cartons from shipping lanes and stack them onto pallets for loading.
• Meet and maintain department quality and productivity standards.
• Operate power industrial equipment as needed, with required certification.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
