About The Position

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Warehouse Generalist to fill in for a range of warehouse positions, including Selector, Dock Worker, Palletizer, Warehouse Clerk, Forklift Operator, Backhauler, and Porter. The role supports warehouse operations by selecting, moving, replenishing, and loading products, as well as maintaining clean warehouse spaces. The position is full-time, on the second shift, Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, at 500 North St, Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Pay is $22.00 per hour. Employees must be able to work through the end of the shift, including necessary overtime, and may be asked to assist other departments based on business needs. Travel is not required. The work environment is a grocery warehouse with temperatures ranging from 50°F to 90°F.

Requirements

Ability to operate a pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment.
Ability to operate a battery hoist.
Comply with company policies and procedures.

Produce quality work and maintain required productivity expectations.
Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
Willingness and ability to work necessary overtime through the end of the shift and assist in other departments based on business needs.
Fall protection training and use of proper fall protection equipment when climbing.

Responsibilities

Fill in for warehouse positions as needed, including Selector, Dock Worker, Palletizer, Warehouse Clerk, Forklift Operator, Backhauler, and Porter.
Use an order picker to select products for customer orders or bring reserve-stock pallets down to replenish pick slots.
Manually select product cases from warehouse racks and build pallets for customer orders.
Record work activity using voice-command systems, pick sheets, Power-warehouse, or a radio frequency computer terminal, as applicable.
Arrange products on pallets with heavier items on the bottom, wrap pallets in plastic, and load them onto trailers.
Operate electric pallet jacks to load delivery trucks or move pallets off inbound trucks; operate a clamp machine when assigned.
Compile un-palletized products onto pallets.
Operate a stand-up forklift to put away or lower pallets in warehouse racks, including racks up to 46 feet high.
Manually lift and position pallets and manually stock or pick product cases in warehouse racks.
Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots, including removing products, cleaning slots with supplies and an electric scrubber, and replacing products.
Clean warehouse offices, employee break areas, and restrooms.
Work through the end of the shift, including necessary overtime, and assist other departments as business needs require.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
