About The Position

The Generalist prepares surface-preparation and repair operations on aero-engine turbine airfoil components. Tasks may include grit blasting, masking, blending, and other routine work. The role may also assist with developing other team members and perform different aspects of the work in the assigned area to support personal development. Additional unrelated duties may be assigned as needed to support facility operations. Work must comply with environmental, health, and safety rules, procedures, and policies. This is an onsite, safety-sensitive position at Pratt & Whitney in Grand Prairie, Texas, and requires U.S. Person status. Candidates are subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and ongoing random testing under FAA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a U.S. GED.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined in the job posting.
• Subject to pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
